It's almost the weekend. We're heading up to Diane's family lake house this weekend. It's someplace in BFE east Texas. Supposed to be a lot of people there, which I don't really care for, but we'll see how it goes.
Things here at the workplace are getting more and more strange. There are only 2 people in the entire company that do what my partner and I do, and we're starting to wonder how needed we actually are. They won't give us more work, so we tend to be bored most the time. Everything important keeps getting put on the back burner, and it seems like they are making it easier and easier on us. Now, most people would enjoy this, we on the other hand, hate it. The less you do, the easier it is to get moved/let go. I don't think there is even a remote chance we will be let go, because it's hard as hell to get fired here, but it still seems weird to me. I've started looking at other departments to move in to. We'll see how that works out.
On the agenda today:
+ finish reading
Daniel Silva's A Death in Vienna, and start The Kill Artist. -- I've really been loving this series of books. I started off reading the third book in the series, then read the fifth book, now I am 60 pages or so from finishing the fourth one. Next I move to books 1 and 2. I hope to have them finished by the time I get in The Half Blood Prince.
+ grab some dinner at
Bear Rock Café+ make it through the rest of the day without slapping someone.
maybe I'll post some more interesting stuff later...but I doubt it.
