Kick ass...
first day at the new job today, and I must say: it's gonna rock. I can see why Bobby digs it there. Super chill, cool people, and great pay/benefits/etc. So far, so good.
I've started the apartment search and today I went and checked out the Metropolis (unknowingly). I saw the info listed on a site, contacted the locator (who told me it was the Metropolis), and went to look at it after work since I had already made some effort. The place seems cool, but from the stories I've heard, the crime stats for the area, and the horrible reviews I found online, I think I'll pass. It was a little to "outthere" for me, anyway. Tomorrow I am going to check out some townhomes over near St. Ed's Universoty.
This is where I need some help fromt he Austin peeps (Noah and Jenni, maybe y'all can help). I've checked out some ratings sites online for places, to help me weed them out, and I've looked at the Austin Crime Stats page and done searches by complex. I've also looked on the BBB website. Is there anything else you can recommend to check out when looking for places in Austin? Any help welcomed.
