Is blogging dead?
I want to post a disclaimer first, just so people know I am not dissing blogging, or bloggers or authors! I am only asking the questions..ok? Please though feel free to comment.
Recently I have been thinking a lot about blogging. I have had some discussions with other bloggers and authors; my big question is who are we blogging for? Who is reading our thoughts, reviews and book pimpin? Is it other bloggers? Readers? Are we blogging to hear our own voice? Also what about the authors that seem to be blogging only for other authors? Do you want to read discussions about problems in publishing? Do you want to hear about writers processes? Read record reviews? WHAT??
So who is reading blogs, and why aren't they commenting? We can see the traffic, but yet no comments? Shy? Bored? Are the same topics getting blogged about over and over? Has Twitter killed the blog? You tell me.. inquiring minds want to know.
