...I want to say no.

My father owns that couch in orange. It is the most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on, in so many different respects.

of course, this couch may be way more comfortable, and you might need different comfort out of a couch than I do. It wore terribly.

However, those colors and the style are truly awesome.

It was the most comfortable of the couches we tried. It has down fill cushions, so it's pretty posh on the behind. But, it's good to know real world wear/use experience. What parts did you find uncomfortable, and which ones wore badly? The two I noted were possibly the top of the back, and the arms.

Did your dad get his couch at Dania?

Not yet...but we're going by Schleifer today, so we could stop in. Our big problem is finding one we can agree on, and this is the only style that seems to suit both of our needs. (Plus, it's totally period with our apt.)

I don't have a problem with the cushions compacting. I can always get new down, or foam to wrap around the down fill, or just straight foam later.

We went ahead and got the Rowe sofa. It's been a decision that was a year in the making. Honestly, it was the only couch (and we looked at a lot of couches) that we both sat on and went, "this is our couch".

I checked out the cushions, because I was concerned about the down fill, given that I'm allergic. There's a well made foam core surrounded by a feather/down/poly-down mix that is suppose to keep its loft. The feathers are from Pacific Feather company, which uses the special cleaning process to remove all of the dander. The frame and springs have a lifetime warrantee, and the cushions have a one year guarantee.

Over time, it's going to be easy for me to slipcover this sofa, if necessary, and I just generally like the style. It's good architecture.

The cushins seemed to wear the most in the outside center of each one, making them stop coming together in the centre in the front.

His couch has to be at least 20 years old, though. I have no idea where they got it origonally, and at this point I am thinking that it just looks the same in style, and after that have nothing to do with each other.
