the dream was the river

the river was three
and i was part of the river
so i was three

i was the i surrounded by the river
with the river all around me like a womb

i was the i following alongside the river, so that it was a thing i could follow from point A to point B, as a path in the direction the water flowed.

i was the i far above the river
where i could take it in entirely and see it's shape and length
without beginning or end

all three were the river
all three were distinct
no one perspective was more or less than another
but each was essential to my understanding of the river

this was the whole dream
