Ray's going to Japan, anywhere from 30 to 36 months. Went to a graduation party last week in Lemoore, it was some of the best time I've spent with the brother in a long while, and likely for a long while to come. Oh well, that's the life of the Naval Aviator, as long as it doesn't involve the Earth and high velocity I'm ok with it. I'm heading down there this weekend for the final send-off. He actually is going to try and make it back for Christmas though so it shouldn't be that long.
Work is going great. One of the guys I've worked with for the last three years left and went to work for the evil empire (Raytheon) and last week was his last, so I've been thrust into the position of taking care of the things he did, which is more than I want to think about, he had his greasy little paws into everything. But he taught me well, I shouldn't have too much of a problem. I just have to get smoother with the dialog, politics you know, they can be a dirty thing. That's in addition to everything I do now, which isn't insignificant to say the least. We're coming up on a big security accredidation for our network soon so that's the main thrust of things happening at work, along with keeping the thing alive in the first place.
Personal life is more of the same, pretty fun in and of itself. I'm getting into my own special share of trouble lately, but it could be so much more. I'm running, but I'm keeping an eye on the chain of common sense and reason.
I can't take it anymore, gotta watch a football game. Another Favre comeback in the works.
