QUESTION OF THE WEEK
WHERE WERE YOU?
So where was I on this day 5 years ago, it was my freshman yr in college, and the start of a new school day like any other. I was leaving my dorm room, room 316 in Pantas Hall, eagerly heading to 3D Design when I got a call from good, but distant tomboyish blonde friend/classmate Kelsey, alerting me of a loud crash and tons of smoke trailing through the sky. Non-chalantly I just shrugged it off and met up with her to get to class. On arriving we all realized what had happened, but this was just the 1st plane that hit, so everyone just thought it was a freak accident and nervously started class. Not too long afterward the 2nd plane crashed, and thats when things got frantic, but one thing I distinctly remember is that my proffessor REEVA POTOF decided that we were going to "continue with class!" UMMMM are you kidding me! So at the time of our break, around 10:30am, we enter the cafeteria and it is completely FROZEN. Bodies were still and faces glued to the tv screens. It felt like one of those movie scenes where the camera pans around really slowly to show the expressions on everyone's faces. Of course by this time it was damn clear that we were not going to continue class that day. I remember standing on the roof of my dorm, with who I dont remember, but I watched the smoke slowly engulf and darken the sky. It was epic.
