Local Celebrity (It will make sense in the end)
So on Monday evening, more birthday surprises awaited me. Well, not really that many surprises but a group of my friends did take me out to Dallas BBQ's restaurant. I like the food there. Decent BBQ that won't break your wallet, not to mention the huge fishbowl size drinks they have. But one thing had me trippin' that night, after the waiters sang happy birthday they brought me what I THOUGHT would be cake and ice cream. I got the ice cream. I even got strawberry syrup and whipped cream, but what I didnt get was cake...all that was topped over CORNBREAD! WTF! UMM NO! So I just left that ish on the table. LOL
But anyway, after that we got to take some great pictures. lol
I even a nice gift from junasea a book we had seen in a magazine entitled "Fuck this Book"(lol) and then one of these...
I like that she didn't go for the obvious and get a Bratz doll, because this open's my eyes to other things, and also will remind more of the person who gave it to me.( It kinda looks like her in a cartoonish way) I had never seen these before but they are "Pinky:St" figures and what interesting about these is that all their parts are interchangeable including the torso, legs, hair and head. So if you collect them, theres alot of room for customizing.
Even more of a treat, I FINALLY GOT A COPY OF THIS!
Yea so a co-worker of mine came in and informed me that after she was sitting under the hair dryer at her local beauty parlor she came across my picture in last month's issue of VIBE! This was from the Def-Jam "Artists on the Verge" party back in the summer that was co-sponsored by Vibe and Steve Madden. I took pics but I had no Idea I'd end up in the damn mag! Now in no way am I trying to brag, but C"MON wouldn't YOU wanna tell someone if you were in a magazine!...a popular one at that! If you look closely at the full page below you can even see where my NAME is listed! Talk about a birthday surprise!
