I saw the Hidden Cameras tonight and they were fantastic. Imagine the energy of a fantastic Manics show, but without the anger. It was interesting to have fun with music without any anger or depression. Very, very interesting. Some random girl even started talking to me about how she likes my top! The Hidden Cameras played the Challenge The Church conference in Toronto back in 2002, and they were great!

Good Luck with the Planned Parenthood job - and I do hope that the counsellor gets back to you. I wish I knew that something like that existed when I was still in Toronto.

I really liked what you wrote about the Montreal Massacre on girls in the corner. I can't believe the National Post (well, yes I can. I shall always remember their headline dedicated to 'Busy Woman Syndrome', or as I like to call it 'Lazy Husband Syndrome'). I feel like we're right in the middle of an anti-feminist backlash, at the moment, not suprising given the generally more conservative atmosphere now. I've had to stop reading the comments on the Guardian website after any article about violence against women, 'cause it's just man after man arguing that by highlighting systemic violence, the author is somehow the most sexist, and probably worse than Hitler.

I miss my dog.
