Snow day . . . or snow morning

I remember living in Canada, and going to school with several feet of snow piled on the sidewalks on either side of me . . . I remember thinking that the snow was taller than me, and I wondered how good of a cushion it would be if I were to jump into it from a plane (I was a weird kid). And now, as I read for linguistics, I get increasingly excited and run to the window and clear off the condensation and look outside . . . and there's only a thin white layer of ice on the groud. This isn't snow. It's barely ice. Oh well, I suppose the important part is the fact that Texas essentially shuts down when there's some sort of frozen precipitation-->no school!

I woke up at 6 and couldn't go back to sleep, and my toes were cold, and I wanted some hot chocolate, so I washed a cup and poured water into it and got the powder ready . . . and it turned out that my cup was too tall for the microwave. So no hot chocolate for me, and my toes are still cold.

Ehhh, fuck this . . . I'm heading back for the haven that is my bed.
