Another twist to the helix

That's another 2π, or thereabouts, chalked up - I can still check the 25-35 box in irrelevant marketing surveys - a source of significant satisfaction, I find. Although, upon further consideration, there's no fundamental force preventing me from continuing to do this for all time (neglecting mortality). The first two hours of this natal day have seen me indulge in some gratuitous junk-mail generation - in an attempt to encourage some nice groovy companies to fax bags of cash to RISC. Mid-way through this mission, as a special birthday treat and after five years of living together, the boiler decided, in an unexpected manoeuvre, to spontaneously change its topology. Although teacups=doughnuts, the precise location of the New Hole in this case, was of considerable interest. Thankfully the aperture that appeared appears to have resulted in merely water dripping into the control electronics - causing its demise - rather than, for example, filling the house with natural gas, which would probably resulted in a somewhat more irritating outcome. Having, jammed a bucket under the drip in a professional way, I'm now off to bed for some fabulous sleep - I sense a clear up-ward trend in the day so far.
