Why I Don't Mow The Lawn

If you live in a tree - nests are a good idea. That seems self evident - but I suspect you've now got a platonic ideal bird flapping around the rooms of your mind. But that's not the whole story. At least not this story.
The many and varied grasses that comprise our Lawn are responding in altogether over-exuberant way in response to the increasing seasonal insolation. If me - or my neighbour - responded to the shifting hours of daylight in the same way , then no doubt there would be some equilibrium maintained - in terms of grass biomass. However, neither of us do. Which is, as it turns out, a whole lot more interesting than one might have been justified in expecting.
