When I volunteered to pinch-hit in the last reversathon, I was truly delighted to receive your prompt. Despite the fact I had just written a Snape/Neville, your request aroused my Muse and I ended up writing what is probably my most hurty of hurt/comfort fanfics, and still a personal favourite because it left me feeling fully stretched as an author.

Your feedback to that fic was the longest I have ever received, and I was rather overwhelmed by it. Over time, reading your feedback to others in other exchanges, I realised you were kind and encouraging to those new to fandom and warm and generous to longtime authors, evidence of a large and convivial heart. There aren't many of those in the world in general, and it is a terrible loss when one such light dims.

I regret missing the recent post where you indicated you were ill. Had I seen it, I would have sent well-wishes, but I know you understand, and instead, send you my love and deepest regrets. Like I said in reply to your reversathon feedback: You are sweetness personified.

Thus you will remain to me, and your kind words shall not be forgotten. Please know a candle burns in honour of the light you shone into my corner of fandom, irana. I'm honoured to have, at least once, provided you a bit of the joy I know you gave to others, and I hope you have all the fun in your grand adventure that your ailments did not allow you whilst alive.
