Gotta love Gerry Anderson!! How can you not adore something that starts off with a VO saying, "Anything can happen in the next half-hour!" and the open ends with an explosion and a gigantic title card that fills the screen, boasting: "FILMED IN SUPERMARIONATION!!"

Re: the Death Winds. After I had written and banked this, Betababe and I went to the movies. We're sitting watching the trailers and The Darkest Hour trailer comes on. There's an effect in there where people get sucked up by an invisible "energy alien" and get ripped apart into bits of sparkly dust. I see this and I'm jumping up and down in my seat like a two year old, yelling into Betababe's ear, "OMG! IT'S THE DEATHWINDS!! IT'S THE DEATHWINDS!!" She's like, yeah, ok. Calm down, people are staring...
