Watching this video just made my day all the more better.

So I have had my permit for way too long not to be kinda ok at driving. I mean I guess that's permissable, but still - I feel like I could've done a lot more as to setting aside time to go out and practice with my parents dad. Basically in the past 6 months all I have been doing is driving from my house to school, a 12 minute drive on a winding two-lane road in the cuts with very little traffic at 7-8am. I can go up and down that road like no one's business but I don't really know how to drive streets --> get my license. My permit expires in a month. Since I'm home from school and not working or doing anything constructive I've been kind of on my mom to take me driving, but after a harrowing trip to the Whole Foods in Berkeley we decided that's just not gonna work.

I ended up talking about it with my homeboy Cameron on AIM last night and long story short he let me drive him around in his car today. Besides scraping his front bumper going out of his driveway and some sketchy right turns and grinding gears and going like 40mph on the freeway it was just hella good practice. And I feel a lot better about learning. When we came by the house he even talked to my mom a bit about it, I think that helped convince her to let me take her to her doctors' appointments (also a lot of personal sacrifice cuz driving with me stresses her the fuck out). Also I got free frozen yogurt, hella good and satisfied my frozen yogurt craving haha. With stops included we were out for like 4 hours and just kicked it in the Skyline parking lot til practice, where I got to teach the one new girl Circuit Training, yesss. She's pretty chill and promising. Came home and had dinner/chatted with the parents, did dishes and discussed the nature of big corporations that feature/fund lil charity foundations and whether or not that sends the right message to consumers/the public...

Also came to the conclusion that there's nothing redeeming about The Cataracs music, that generic shallow shit needs to go. Such a guilty pleasure though, gah.

haha also thanks to homeboy I am the trustee of a shitload of leaving school permits, leaving class permits, and referrals. Need to get out of class, I am your go-to girl. Not really sure if I should announce this on facebook haha.

Feeling positive and loving summer up.
