The Cape was full of lovely water and sun. I should feel more motivated to lie in the sun on weekends. There were also swans, who I gave a wide berth to. I then went to a barbecue where I was able to see many old friends, although I feel like I talked insufficiently to many of them (got caught up in swan culture discussions). Winnie sent me home with Marylou's blueberry coffee which is the best coffee experience I've had this year so far.

Jeff and Sara and I played The Quiet Year, which in our case took place in Detroit (starring the Renaissance Tower, an inky blackness, and a hydrogen shortage). John and I are somewhat obsessed with Detroit. Sara enables us because she thinks it is a magical place and has a Tigers garden gnome.

Last weekend was my birthday party, in which a good time was had by all! Sarah made an amazing corn salad (and brought me coconut butter!), I taught Thunderstone to a bunch of people (Mike B said it was better than other games he'd learned that started with T), cake was from the Essential Baking Company who make tasty croissants too, and people played Cards Against Humanity. Now what to do with all that extra Private Selection ice cream (which is tasty but a bit too premium to eat every day). And cake.

I've realized I actually do like espresso in Americano form. However, an espresso machine at home is expensive, and espresso roast doesn't come in flavors yet- you have to add syrup. I will continue drinking tasty blueberry coffee. I've been exhausted the past two days because of the construction disturbing my sleep from 7-8AM. Shouldn't affect me that much, but it's the best explanation I have. Ergo, two cups of said coffee were not enough. Had to add 60mg of caffeine in the form of Crystal Light Citrus Plastic Drinkstuff.

We're going to Vancouver in a week and a half! Yay!
