Money, eh?

About a week ago, we finally received our money for the translation - well, at least the greater part of it. On the very day, we decided to check out the newly opened Culinaris next to Jászai Mari square; a rare commodity for us, and a real feast every time.

We haven't been in the Óbuda shop yet, but this place is HUGE! And well-equipped, too. So well, that I started to lose consciousness after five minutes, and my vision got blurry... Hey, it does even now that I write about it, so I just conclude by telling ya that we grabbed a bottle of Cool Chile's Smoked Chipotle Chili Ketchup (6/10, and smoked ticket to Mexican chile heaven - Damage, if you're reading this, call me.)

Also tortillas, coriander salsa dip, salami napolitana, baguettes, brie cheese, soya sauces, tuna paste, ripe (ripe, man, RIPE) avocados, ruccola, and a whole lotta different things. Oh, yeah, Italian ham, too, but we were scared by the saffron boar salami for 2400.- HUF / 10 dkgs...

And also the politeness of the shopkeeper and the assistants - I know it's paid for, but it's nice to be greeted by people wearing smiles and politeness.

Oh, and before dinner, Ági came home with a huge book as a present for me (L) - "The Collected Works of Oscar Wilde with Original Illustrations". Well, wow. WOW. Wilde has always been one of the greatest inspiration for me, and now I have everything. Illustrated. Wow.

So we are trying to be economical with the rest of the money, but we want to get at least some small (but solid) things we couldn't have otherwise. Of course, the rest will trickle from our hands as bills arrive, but it's really nice to spend at least a few weeks without (much) monetary worries. Thank God! :)

Ági, books
