Oh, I almost forgot to post about the job - and other things - on Friday.
The long-awaited reggae show by Perfect Giddimani on the Ship was kind of a happy evening, although the all-day hunt for 20 grams of marijuana for the band really wrecked my nerves. (I've even had to contract an Official A38 Dealer. Oh, come on!)
Even though I had to work - just babysitting the band and supervising the production, as usual - I invited Dávid and the gang over, since I haven't had a good drink with them for a long time, and they wanted to properly celebrate my birthday with me anyway.
Dávid, Szilvi, Bimbó and his new girlfriend, and - surprisingly - Csosza and Barbi came together. Again, I had to realize that true friends simply know how to cheer you up. I just expected them to visit me and have a few drinks together, so I was literally speechless when they said 'Happy Birthday!" and gave me their unexpected gifts. Their present for me was a bottle of perfume (Chanel Egoiste) that they know I didn't have the money for, plus, Dávid personally bought me an amazing book about the fauna of the Carpathian Basin - simply the most professional publication that has recently been written on local nature, with a lot of photos, and a really admirable approach. I was truly moved, and was thankful for friends like this...
Of course, we had some drinks, watched the concert, and had some more drinks and a lengthy - and nicely sincere - talk with Dávid and Bosi in the backstage about stuff 'till the morning. (And we also managed to hunt some autographs and toasts with Perfect for these reggae-freaks.) After we left, I went home, had a shower, and - sleeplessly - climbed up the train to Szeged .
