Up 'till a few minutes ago, I hadn't been planning to write something right now, but I just had a thought. Do any of you people do this? See something that needs to be done and that you can easily do 'cause it's such a small thing, but you just don't do it?

A few weeks ago, a girl from my dorm (didn't know her) died after being hit by a car, so they painted the fence as a memorial(it's a thing we do for all sorts of events, though I don't think anyone will paint over it for a long time to come) and left potted flowers there. This last weekend, there was a storm, and heavy rain, and the pots were knocked over, and all weekend up 'till now, I thought someone should put them back up, but it seemed really pretentious to go over and set them right, especially since I didn't know the girl, or feel anything other than that it was sad, and too bad that she died young.

On the way back from class just now, I saw that someone else had righted them, and then I thought that I did this a whole lot... just waiting for someone else to do something because I don't want the false merit for doing something that should have been done. But then, after someone else does it, I regret it, because it is something that should have been done, regardless of how weird I think it is for me to do it.
