[Sheik's almost got an eye-rolling thing going on. He has no idea what 'Beta Squad' is, but seems to interpret Erol as complaining.]

Of course you do.

Beta Squad followed orders.

I would say that given it was a victory and nearly lacking in casualties, both sides managed to pull off their plan well enough. The pathway to get to the end, doesn't always matter. It's reaching the same result that does.

Our "win" was due to dumb luck and the casualties were ridiculous.

Perhaps on the side of the bears.

[Sheik would know. He crawled amongst them.]

You are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Just be content with the idea that there was a victory and not some sad attempt. 'Dumb' luck or not.

Really. And what happens the next time when these idiots think they can get by on lazy discipline and uncoordinated fighting maneuvers? Perhaps they will get reinforcements in the nick of time, or the ground will open up and swallow their enemies! After all, trusting to luck worked so very well last time, why not do it again?

I don't settle for half-measures and I don't praise incompetence. But if you want men killed next time they go into the field, by all means, settle for dumb luck.

Don't you think this ship is hard enough on people as it is? Do they need you to act 'holier-than-thou'?

I won't deny that stupid actions should lead to stupid consequences, however, I also recognize the fact that everyone involved put their best effort into it. That's the only reason I'm willing to accept fortune as the catalyst for success.

If it were just me, it would have been flawless.

And you have bad hair.

I am not a military man, by any means, but I do know how to appreciate people and their efforts.
