Epic win! (gratuitous car post)
I am back from my two week LJ hiatus with good news to report! I got my (new*!) car inspected yesterday, so Fluffy-Mach II is good to go. My car includes the following features that my other car did not:
01)Acceleration
02)Bright headlights (so I can see when driving at night)
03)Airbags
04)Cup holders (4 and counting!)
05)A radio with channels
06)A CD player that doesn't randomly decide to stop playing past arbitrary tracks on CD's
07)Working misters on the windshield wipers
08)Windshield wipers with an (adjustable!) intermittent setting
09)Storage space
10)Windows I can roll down and then roll back up
11)Mirrors I can actually adjust (from inside the car yet!)
12)The mirrors flex so I can't rip them off my car
13)An AC power adapter (and a cigarette lighter so I can plug my cellphone charger in whilst driving!)
14)Ceiling lining not held on with straight pins/duct tape/staples/thumb tacks/screws.
Sometimes while driving I'll find myself going over the speed limit, and wondering "Why?" Then I realize, "Oh yeah! This car accelerates!" I need to adapt the pressure I put on the gas pedal. Also, the turning radius is slightly larger. This makes parking an adventure sometimes, but I'm getting used to it. Although I do think I'm getting spoiled.
So when I get home from class today, I'll clean out Fluffy and transfer my car care items from one trunk to another and find out when the stepdad wants me to bring her over.
My car fills me with glee.
