Here are a few of my thoughts, not well thought out because I'm tired as ass, but here you go:
-I don't want Nathan to be dead either. But I thought he was dead at the end of last season, too...he's the type of character I keep thinking they finish their arc with, and that's why they can kill him now...but I honestly have grown quite fond of him.
-They didn't finish their arc with Nikki. Not that I really liked her all that much, but I'm upset that they killed her because now they HAVE to - dramatically speaking - do more with Micah. And I never cared for Micah at all. I am, however, looking forward to Monica's development.
- Matt is becoming teh awesome.
- Everyone was using their powers so much more often in this episode than usual...Usually it's a whole lot of "What's going on? What do I do? Waaaa!" from everybody, but in this one it was like, whose powers will triumph over the others? And it was pretty exciting. They need to do more of that stuff.
- I kind of would have liked to see Matt on Nathan's back.
- Angela Petrelli is such a bitch and I hope she gets her come-up-ins.
- Why is Bob so worried about Claire? She's kind of dumb. She has no clue what she's doing. Where exactly was she going to take those files?
- I hope West is gone for good. He's a douche. I hope he got hit by a low-flying plane.
- Sylar is not really my type but is sooooooooo sexy.
Okay, I'm done. Way tired. I'll have more to say if you start stating your opinions, too.
-Why kill Nathan off for good? He's played by one of the best actors on the show, he has a cool power and there's lots to do with his character. Plus the fans will revolt. (But not as much as they would have if Mr. Bennet had been really-dead.)
-Mr. Bennet probably shot Nathan. y/n?
-I don't really care if they kill Nicki, they'd sort of played out her multiple personality disorder (somehow the Company fixed this? I don't get how.) and her domestic life with Micah was always boring to me. I want to know why they have "Uhura" on the show and have done nothing with her so far.
-Why Peter didn't just fucking read Kensei/Adam's mind I don't understand. Silly show always conveniently forgetting what their characters are capable of. Peter should have a lot more powers than he's currently displaying as well. It bugs.
-Showing Matt on Nathan's back would have been hilarious but probably very hard to film as Greg Grunberg is much larger than Adrian Pasdar.
-We still do not know what the powers of half the elder generation were. That is annoying and stupid.
-Well to be fair Claire could have taken those files to Nathan. She probably would have if his press conference had succeeded.
-I also do not care to see West again. He was more tolerable in the last couple episodes, but still. I think they might be trying to cut some dead weight here. Though they really should have left Maya dead. If we are getting Maya in exchange for Nathan? DOWNGRADE. (Someone just bleed super-blood on him already, he's got two family members capable of it.)
-Sylar is sexy, but evil.
-Love how they totally didn't bother to resolve what became of Caitlin. Maybe Peter will learn that when you destroy a timeline everyone in it goes poof.
- Mr. Bennett could have shot Nathan, I guess...I don't know if I buy it, though. Why would they fly him all the way to NY, in custody of Bob, to do something he probably didn't really want to do himself? I'm sure Angela tipped someone off...it might be a character we haven't seen before.
- "Why Peter didn't just fucking read Kensei/Adam's mind I don't understand." Agreed. Likewise, why couldn't Matt and/or Peter hear the thoughts of whoever shot Nathan before he did it? The only way I could buy either of those situations is that Matt was preoccupied with mentally herding that crowd so he was distracted...and Peter's kind of stupid. (Though I hope not stupid enough to not realize he can use his blood to save Nathan. He should really be able to figure that out.)
-Yeah, I thought about the Caitlin thing too. She was kind of a useless character...and this is part of why I hate time travel stuff, because them having destroyed the virus means that future won't happen, which means Peter's past didn't really happen...I just try to suspend my disbelief with this show to assume that Peter and Hiro can exist outside of the normal time/space continuum, and so can anyone with them at the time...so if Hiro went back in time and killed his father before he was born, he can still go back to his present and exist. Just only one of him.
- Elle is improving, but I want her to electrocute her father. Somehow it's actually quite difficult for me to see them as family...he's such a cold-hearted bastard, why would he have had a kid at all, with whom he has no chemistry, not even a believable sense of expectation and disappointment? Maybe she was an "assignment child," like Claire.
- Sandra and Lyle are also dead weight. But I would be really happy if they did something more with Sandra, like gave her a real motivation to DO something. Lyle can get hit by a truck for all I care.
- I agree that Maya sucks. Though honestly it was kind of funny when Molly staggered into the room clutching her eyes. Somehow it reminded me of Oedipus. I'm a sick bastard.
-I think it was Mr. Bennet because it could have been part of the deal he made with the Company. Plus this show is always looking for ways to keep his character nice and grey.
-Peter is constantly underusing his powers or conveniently forgetting he has certain powers. Like why bother to telekinetically rip the safe door open when he could just fucking walk through it? Seriously. Bad writing people. (This is why having characters like Peter are so problematic.)
-The time travel paradox is the same as we get with season 1 and Hiro seeing the explosion in NY. I guess they could exist outside the time-line. That's the Back to the Future take on it I guess.
-I actually have no problem seeing Bob and Elle as a very dysfunctional father/daughter dynamic. Bob clearly doesn't care much about her mental well-being though and values her only for how useful he is to him. I guess I'm feeling it more from her end.
-Lyle is so hilariously purposeless on this show. It would be great if someday he could maybe have any significance to the plot.

Got class now. More talk later!
