Painting and stuff...

So we stripped all the wallpaper off the bathroom upstairs.

I dismantled all the electrical outlets and took off the light fixture.

Taped everything off- LOVE painter's tape.

We were trying to figure out what color to chose and it was funny because I picked up like 10+ sample thingies with 3 colors on each of the pieces of paper. Keri had taped them on the wall and she had chosen one but I was looking at them and then I started pulling off ones that wouldn't work. In the end it was funny because I came to the same conclusion as Keri as to which color we wanted.

We primed the walls and then painted everything.

We got Valspar paint from Lowes. It's interesting how much of a difference decent paint makes. Damian painted the bedroom and the bathroom downstairs since he is moving back in and he got paint at Fred Meyer's and it was cheaper but it required two coats and it stunk up a storm. Actually it's been about 2 weeks since he painted and those rooms still stink like chemicals.

Painting small rooms is a miserable affair especially with two people in a room. Since I did almost all the wallpaper by myself Keri did the majority of the painting though we both did all the detail work. It does look pretty good though.

After the painting was done, I dismantled the light switches and replaced them with nicer light switches and a timer for the fan. Yay for figuring out electrical wires.

It'll also be pretty nice once we pull the tape off and be able to use the bathroom again.
