After getting through an entire day of classes and choir performance with only a blueberry muffin and a cappucino in my system, I was happy to make Asian Cup Ramen for dinner in the comfort of my dorm room. I've made it before and never had any problems, so I thought it wouldn't do any harm to leave the microwave unattended for a quick visit to the bathroom. A minute later I come back to be welcomed by the smell of something burning. I yank open the microwave door and saw that a little section of the container rim turned black, but it didn't seem too dangerous to stop heating it up halfway. I put it back and this time carefully watched it. Then came the sparks. Nothing serious... Or so I thought until I heard the shrill clanging of the fire alarm. When I saw everyone evacuating their rooms and a public safety guy standing in the hall, I was ready to die. But no worries! Turns out it was a very well-timed, yet terrifying for me, dorm fire drill... The world is so cruel to moi. ;_____;
