Sometimes they just won't let you see

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I successfully drowned in my dream. All those dreams where I'm drowning, but somehow wake up before I actually drown. What would it mean to drown? Or if someone wasn't interfering and trying to save me while I was drowning.

All I know is I've probably been the only person I know to be able to choke in her sleep while holding her breath and almost drown completely in the dream.
