I done did it
So Halfy took his test and actually was able to complete it this time unlike the last time so that's a good sign. hopefully we hear back about the results in the coming week or so.
Today I have read close to 2 dozen books to the kids. all morning we sat, with not even music on in the background, and the girls brought me book after book and we just read all morning! It was really sweet! They also seemed to find it HILARIOUS that I wouldn't read them the same book twice. (We have over 100 kids books. there is no need for me to read the same book 30 times in an hour.) Later Kalli was reading some of the board books to Sarina and it was the sweetest thing!
I made super yummy egg salad sandwiches and some veggies and dip for lunch and then after the kids and I picked up everything off the floor on the main level and I swept the entire main level then after putting them to bed I washed all the floors on the main level. so I feel like I got something done over and above my regular cleaning of my kitchen.
I cannot believe how amazing my kids are. sarina is now potty trained. sure we have the occasional accident mostly when she gets overexcited and stands up before she's done on the potty but I cannot remember the last time we had a wet diaper after she wakes up in the morning or after nap time. Kalli counts just about anything and everything and is recognizing more and more letters. She'll also be happy to sit and "read" herself books.
I have been working more on the foster parents paperwork and just today I am feeling good. The kids are getting popsicles and/or cheesies for after nap snack and I am backing homemade beef stroganoff for dinner. I am such a typical SAHM. I have not left our property now in like 3 weeks. LOL
