First update in months? Check. Unexplained absence? Check. Lack of excuses? Double check. Onward and forward!
Since I was a bad child and forgot to post it previously, here are Pandora's stats:
Pandora
Family | Pleasure
Virgo | 96415
OTH | Science
I forgot to look at her LT Want, but it's something Family Sims get quite frequently, so it doesn't matter.
Since I had no luck (whatsoever) finding a job offer in the Politics career in Week 1, I went ahead and gave it to her so we could move things forward.
The week started off with another neighborhood meeting. Romance is obviously in the air.
In her continuing quest to move the town into the electrical and plumbing (aka modern) era, Pandora chats up newly-christened town mechanic Rhiannon:
"So Rhiannon, I hear you like our resident werewolf?"
"Oh yeah! Talking about him always makes me think of money."
Of course, freezing your butt off is a great way to bond with your fellow captives settlers.
Seeing as how their relationship had been blossoming, Pandora shyly asks Garland if he'd move in with her.
And this is the first message to pop up! Poor thing must have spent too much time in the snow.
Given all the snow the town's been getting, Garland peruses his magic book for a cure to the common cold.
Town gossip Regina stops by to talk with Garland about the necessities in life. Like traveling and skyscrapers.
Hmmm...
Rhiannon stops by again to work on her friendship with Pandora.
Later that evening, over a romantic dinner of chile con carne (and one empty plate), Pandora decides it's time to get serious with Garland. Of course, he says yes.
Garland's grimoire has yet to reveal the cure for that pesky cold.
Ordinarily this might be a problem, seeing as how Pandora and Rhiannon aren't besties yet, but I had an ace up my sleeve.
Garland puts his creative talents to good (?) use outside and constructs a snowman.
*pop*
Not the snowman! Regina how could you?!
I'm beginning to see a pattern here. Are you?
After infecting Garland with her pestilence (again!), Regina goes inside to speak with Pandora about child rearing.
I believe this opens up the Medicine career?
Once the Spring thaw arrived, Pandora used a small amount of the town funds to expand the attic of her residence. All in the name of medical research, of course.
That can't be good for the baby.
*pop*
It's taken nearly 3 days, but finally they're officially Best Friends.
"Rhiannon, do you think it'd be possible to recycle our vehicles and make power sources from them?"
"It's definitely possible! I just need to do a bit of research into the area, but we should have electricity in this town in no time!"
Early the next morning, another milestone is reached.
Meet Cullen Marinato, the first boy born in Nautilus Cove! He inherited his dad's genetics.
He's the apple of his father's eye.
Well, it looked easy enough when Garland did it...
Back to work for the Mayor, or, uh, the Campaign Manager.
A day or so later and it's birthday time for Cullen! They grow up so darn fast.
He's a virtual clone of his father. Still cute as a button, though.
Duck face.
Cullen seems at once content in his mother's arms and yet quite eager to explore the world around him.
And why are Pandora and Garland gardening in their formal wear, you ask?
Because it's a wedding!
The whole town showed up, even the reclusive Olivier. At least Fiona will have someone to talk to.
We wrap up this post as the newlyweds stuff their faces with cake. And despite the transforming werewolf in the background, things look to be calming down in Nautilus Cove...
for now.
I'm not going to make any promises as to when the next up date will be, but hopefully soon. The major reasons this update is so dreadfully late (I've had the pictures since April) are these: 1, school; 2, summer vacation; 3, I hated most of the pics I took for this update and only recently admitted to myself that they weren't really all that horrible and I should just post them already.
Anyway. Hope you enjoyed!
