I certainly didn't expect to get this update done tonight, but here it is! This is where it all starts people.
Before we get to the official documentation, I want to address two things. First, thanks so much for the kind words on the intro post. Hopefully you're back for this one. :)
Second, I bent the rules a tad bit. Each of my five families has been played 1-2 days prior to the start of official gameplay to get things settled, and I sort of let them do what they wanted to during that time, so some things might need explanations, which I'll provide.
Pandora wasn't terribly interesting during her set-up gameplay. A few skill points and some gardening are all she really did. Anyhoo, on to the stuff you actually want to read.
ACR kicked in almost automatically for Pandora, leading her right to Garland, exactly as I'd hoped. Plus, they have two bolts, so it wasn't a big surprise.
Uh-oh. That won't be the end of it, you can be sure.
Those are the fastest flames I've ever seen. But who gets the position in the Law Career?
*Someone* isn't having a good time.
Pandora tried getting to know some of the other settlers better, since Garland had been *ahem* otherwise occupying her time.
All attempts to socialize were interrupted by Skylar's first public transformation. Mostly people stared, but Quentin evidently found it incredibly amusing.
Pandora's living room began to feel cramped, so everyone got the heave-ho. Regina excused herself earlier to wash her hair (what kind of excuse is that?), but Pandora kept feeling like there was someone she hadn't met...
Pandora spent her first evening alone, pondering how some of the settlers could already be fighting. There was a lot she didn't understand about the group dynamic.
The next day Pandora dejectedly turned to tend her neglected garden, but then she noticed Garland loitering by the mailbox.
She made sure he knew it was ok to come by and distract her anytime.
Unfortunately he can't catch butterflies worth a damn. I swore the things were laughing at him.
With no telephone (or husband) available, Pandora took the plunger in her own hands and battled with the throne. "Better get used to it," she sighed.
A gardener's work is never done, but I'm not sure those are the best shoes for this type of job...
Pandora quickly struck up a conversation with Quentin Wynn when he walked by, but the formerly-wealthy gentleman didn't want to talk about money at all. Sore spot much?
Something tells me he's not too familiar with woodland creatures. This isn't the city, Quentin!
Garland stopped by to catch fireflies and be generally adorable...
...while Pandora satisfied her insatiable need for some nocturnal weeding. o.O
It's either the bugs or the weeds, or both. In any case, she can't win.
But at last it was harvest time. Plus, Pandora netted a sweet Silver Gardening Badge for her troubles.
Regina Wynn seemed more willing to talk about her former social standing than her husband. Bragging rights, perhaps?
Garland has the magical ability of appearing right when Pandora needs him. Here, she lets him know how much she appreciates his frequent visits.
On the last day the weather turned sour. Rhiannon Dernberger stopped by to socialize the way grown women do... via a snowball fight. Why not?
Pandora's reaction to the snow can also be applied to the job market during this week. Not *one* opening in the Political Career. I guess the new citizens of Nautilus Cove will have to go without the basics for a while longer still...
Hope you enjoyed. ^^ The Finn-Diamond Family should be up sometime tomorrow. Until then!
