I love these as pretty much everything you do - I love the aesthetics of the rusty things. It may seem weird (maybe it really is) but I've always preferred to play with rusty large industrial screws than with my Barbie dolls when I was a child - the former were much more beautiful for me. So I appreciate immensely this grungy and rusty objects. Thank you very much.
Thank you, Sonne. You know, when I was a child I was maybe a bit weird, too. I liked to draw cars, but most of the time crashed cars. I was fascinated by deformation, and so I am by rust. Those make things unique. :-)
You're welcome. And really, the rusty, crashed, derelict, worn out things have a different beauty. Not everyone is able to appreciate it, but when you can it's kind of overwhelming - in a good sense, such as appreciating a masterpiece of artwork.
I only just now realized this had been updated with freight cars! How I wanted freight cars!
My dad was a brakeman on the SOuthern Pacific when I was a kid. I used to love hanging out in the yards with him when he went to pick up his paycheck or to do union stuff. One of my ambitions is to recreate a railroad yard, eventually.
No, the freight cars were there from the start, the update was because of another issue. ;) I still have a shunting engine and various more freight waggons in the works. :)
That's strange: when I was placing them I couldn't find anything but passenger cars. I'll re-install the set anyway, maybe I installed them wrongly the first time.
