My valentine gift for Eleanor with added options

May 04, 2013 16:29

As lovely Eleanor already shared her gift, I post it here, too, but with some bonuses that didn't make the deadline.

The poster in the background is a lucky find of some badass artwork for the German 1934 sci-fi movie "Master of the World" (oh, why don't have movies today posters like that?). It's a recolor for the "Surfing the Universe" poster.

I'm rather proud of the big lever, it's yet another mesh I made completely from scratch, inspired by the factory scenes in Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" movie. The neutral position is the master object for the other two. Polycount is 746, in Deco/Misc. for 500 simoleons. Now with three more color options!

The other part is a set of big industrial pipes for your neighbourhood alongside two chimneys for individual positioning. You'll find these in the landmarks category. Average polycount is around 250, the (pipe) bridge is 982 and the chimneys are 27/37. I had plans to make new tanks but for now the old water tanks work rather well. I noticed that the trucks of my neighbourhood traffic replacement were clipping through the bridge, so this update makes it a little higher. Just let the file overwrite.

This update adds a set of the same pieces on a higher level. The concrete pillar of the transition piece between heights is smaller so it can be hidden more easily in one of the other pillars should that be necessary. In the same manner all high pillars are a bit narrower to fit into the low bases without clipping.

Oh! For those like me who like to interweave neighbourhood deco and regular lots: There's just enough space for a full story underneath the high pipes! :)

DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING

The dress and wallpaper in the second picture are part of Eleanor's gift for me.

PS: In case you thought I was just messing with you on April 1st: Nope, you really can have levers on the ceiling and an upside down poster!

new/altered meshes, buy mode, neighbourhood stuff, gos themes
