88 pieces of harbour-themed neighbourhood deco

Finally! That took rather long to share, sorry. A little starter set to build a harbour in your hood - big city or small fishing village, your choice! And here's an awesome ambient mixer to get in the mood!
The polycounts of some models below may seem high for hood deco standards, but if you take their size (several cars) and relative detail into account it's a good deal. Also, computers have advanced and it's kind of hard to find good low poly models, for free to boot. Most of the models I used had to be remapped and got a completely new texture, thanks to my invaluable source cgtextures.com. I spent all the time I could to streamline the polycount of each model, too.

VINTAGE CARGO SHIP
Add a metropolitan flair to your neighbourhood with these big cargo ships bringing goods from all over the world! Huge thanks to Theraven at GoS for converting the mesh file so I could work with it! :D
Three ships, named Wismar, Bremen and Flensburg after German harbour cities, each in two versions: unloading or with the cranes up. The unloading version is slaved to the other! CuriousB found out how to make slaving work for hood deco, thanks to her!

TUGBOAT
Big ships need little helpers! Brigit, Kaylynn and Hilda make sure that everything in your harbour stays in order!

And here's the framework for your hood's future eye-catcher: an assortment of different dock pieces to fit every coastline. There're basically two groups: the high docks for the big ships and the low docks with smaller and closer together bollards. The later also come with some floating pieces, it's advisable to place those first so the height of coast-bound pieces can be matched accordingly.
The buildings in the background are two (neighbourhood) tiles wide for comparison. Again I used the slaving-method to save space, which also means that you can change your harbour's appearance very quickly (unless you want to have several options at once, that'll be more work).
This set also includes CuriousB's TS3 conversion of that wharf building with a slightly altered texture to match my docks. This new version overrides the old one!

This is just one example of what you can build with it:

(Hint: It's a lot easier to place objects on the water if you look straight down.)

Unfortunately, moving boats have no respect for deco on the water and may go straight through it.

Polycount: average 505 (small tiles 4-632, big tiles (high 20, low 6 + 10) 1030-2264)

CATWALKS AND SEAGULLS
Some wooden catwalks floating on old barrels and poles with or without seagulls in different positions on them. The seagulls are based on the mesh of the flying ones, with added feet by me. I notice the preview is a little misleading: There're two versions with a high pole or a low pole of everything, each pole can be placed independently!

Also included is the flying seagulls effect without the rock and floating on water.

Polycount: 423 (catwalks), 15 (poles), 93-98 (poles with seagulls) - Mesh source: scratch-made

FISHING BOAT L4D 1
I was lucky to find these meshes from L4D, even grungy in advance! They needed a bit work, though, neither of them had an entry to the cabin.

Mary - Lyla

Jacqueline - Missy - Wanda

Martje - Erika - Karla - Martha
(Those four are outside my naming system, just some names I like to make some extra colors.)

Trivia: Three of this boat's names are/were the actual names of my mother and grandmothers.

FISHING BOAT L4D 2
It's hard to see in the pictures, but for this boat I made a dozen different variations of the mesh, each with the hook in the back at a different position, for that subtle touch of realism. ;)

Mamie - Kynda - Jennifer - Melinda

Still not a clue what my mysterious naming system is? I'm sure you'll get it now: Above we
see Coral next to Lilith, Angela and Mary-Sue, with Diane and Irma in the background.

Some bonus boats: Lisbeth - Maude - Fannie - Loreley

TRAWLER
I feel like I need to add some description text here to make it look good, but there's not much I can say about this. It's a trawler. It trawls. :)

Cassandra (based on her TS1 outfit) - Cassandra II

Gretle - Bella - Frida - Cornelia
And again a bunch of extra colors:

Karenina - Phoebe - Svenja                                        Alex - Beatrix - Fiona

Almost forgot: You'll find everything (except the seagulls effect) in the Misc. category!
Update 2014: Catwalks and seagulls are now available as lot deco, too! Converted by Tinkle at blackpearlsims.com
