lord almight, i don't know how much more of this i can take.
So as many of you AI people know, Nina and Will got married this weekend. Also, my apartment flooded pretty drastically. I don't have alot of time, so i'll give you the trunkated version until i have the time and the will to write out the whole ordeal.
The initial plan was this:
Crash early on thursday night, get up early friday, work on choreography, go to MD, handle wedding stuff the rest of the weekend.
Thursday night at about 10pm, it rained. The drain on the balcony did not drain, and it flooded into the apartment. Entire apartment flooded, about 2 inches. Just enough to saturate everything on or near the floor. Stuff was floating away. There were kerosene lamps on the balcony. They got washed out, and so we were knee deep in kerosene and water on outside.
They rushed me into a decision friday morning, which i am rather regretting now. The decision was to move us to a mid level apt further down the street. and saying "we won't raise your rent" like it crossed their damn minds. There's a new manager, who seems much nicer than the previous manager, and i feel bad for reaming this nice kid for the previous manager's mistakes and negligence, but i need compensation at this point. The lease,
unfortunately, protects them from just about everything i want to take them down with, though there's a chance i can take them in for damage to tenant's property due to landlord negligence.
they called me DURING CEREMONY to tell me i needed to be out of my apartment by 10am on monday when they KNEW i was out of town all weekend. 16 hours to pack wet things into wet boxes is ludicrous.
wedding,
kill me,
flood,
moving
