little black daily dress. Days 5-7
Yes, this is still going on. I'm posting photos on Instagram daily, but I figured I'd just post every few days on LiveJournal with observations and comments as to not annoy people too much.
I think it's really not bothering me. I still have plenty of variety in what I'm wearing (GEMINI), but it's pretty simple to find something and throw it on in the mornings.
I admit, I'd love to throw on some jeans and a ripped up tee, and I guess I could (with the dress), but I think that'd look weird, and it's not really something I'd ever wear. I'm trying to wear this as a dress, not just a smock. Yes, I'm wearing a lot of leggings, but hey... IT'S FEBRUARY. I'm going to dress warmly. I'm not going to freeze my ass off to try to make a point. And I think while there's a lot of similarity day to day, there has also been quite a variety of looks. More than I would have thought, really. I think doing this in the winter actually affords me more opportunities to wear it differently. In the summer, it would really just be too hot to do anything but change out the shoes.
One thing that is annoying me is that the fit is kind of off. I am down a dress size or two from when I originally bought it, so it's kind of frumpy. I think the high neckline is a bit annoying as well. It is easy to wear and comfortable, though, so I'll at least give it that.
Off to go wash it in hopes that it'll be dry by morning.
