There are a lot of things I'd like to do before I lose another summer. For one, I'd like to feel like this isn't another summer lost. I'd like to think of it as a summer I used the hell out of and then happily said goodbye to. You know, like a prostitute, but without the part where I kill her and hide the body in the ravine behind my apartment. Not that I've ever done that. Or ever would.

Heh.

Moving along...

I decided I'd type myself out a list of the things I'd like to do before the end of these gloriously sun-drenched days.

* Go swimming at Whatcom Falls Park at least three times. Hell, go swimming anywhere.

* Take a day-trip to LaConner and pretend I'm a tourist. I like the antique shops, what can I say?

* Go hiking in a variety of places. Fragrance Lake is on my list, as are many of the Chuckanut trails. I'd also really like to make it to the Bat Caves, since I never have exactly figured out how to get to them.

* Have a few lovely picnics. I will even prepare lots of little yummy finger foods and homemade iced tea and such.

* Have a sushi-making party! I know, I know...I could do that any time of year. But I like sushi in the summer. It's refreshing or something.

* Get my barbecue from my mom's house. Then, hold a mini-barbecue at my apartment with steaks, seafood, veggies, and other delectable edibles. And beer. Can't forget that.

* Go to Seattle and just bum around. Go to Pike's Place Market, get good food somewhere, and go visit the Sci-fi Museum.

* Go to Oregon for a weekend. Visit Astoria and see all the places that The Goonies was filmed at. Visit the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. That sort of thing.

...

Well. That seems to be all the ones I can think of at the moment. But there will be more, as I think them up. If anyone would like to do these sort of things with me, let me know. I think that it would be fun to have company, as well as the encouragement to actually do all these things.
