HELLO LIVEJOURNAL

OK, so: I am currently having a fat-loss (weight loss? Only I am not willing to just chop off a leg and win immediately?) contest with BOTH my esteemed father, and also various members of the staff at school.

In the service of this challenge, I have done these things:
-gone to the basement gym to do RUNNING INTERVALS (yeah!)
-tricked Erin and Amy into wanting to go to yoga with me (by giving them gift certificates for Xmas and Hannukah)
-acquired the services of A PERSONAL TRAINER. Yes. She is AWESOME. I am HIGH ON ENDORPHINS. But still. She gave me a SWEET WATER BOTTLE. Also, the place is so close to my apartment! It's awesome. I'm doing twice-weekly resistance training with her.

It is important that I win for these reasons:
-I will be fitter! I know that this is supposed to be the most important thing. I will ALSO have more energy and fit into more clothes (YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS secret motivation is now showing)
-I will win $$$ from my coworkers. I don't care THAT much about this one, but it's nice to have people around reminding you that money's on the table.
-I will win SOMETHING from Dad: BRAGGING RIGHTS. Hahahaha. HEAR THAT, DAD? YEAH, I KNOW YOU'RE READING THIS BLOG. HA. :)

Anyway--I am actually pretty excited about this. I'm also excited about personal-finance fitness; I've started using mint.com to track my spending. It's nice to know my Net Worth is positive. Hahahha.

I'm having a sadder moment with my boots. As I posted last time, I ordered some boots. And... they were expensive. AND... I'm having trouble making a decision. I got two sizes, and neither one fits perfectly; and these are all-leather boots, so should I get the small pair and stretch them? Or should I get the bigger pair? Also they are different colors. I WANT THEM BOTH. This is not reasonable!!

I might just send them both back and go back to the drawing board. Sigh.

In the meantime, I'm going shopping with Amy. Maybe I will meet the perfect boot while I'm out?? Also: I should get the heels on my little boots repaired, since I have worn them three or more times a week since I got them and the bottoms are DESTROYED. Oh, Aldo, why aren't your hot shoes made for heavy use? Le sigh.

This pointless entry brought to you by the extra fifteen minutes before Amy and I leave for the vet. :)
