Clearly I need some *other* sort of drugs... Calming ones.

CVS: Okay, that'll be $89.97.
Peggy: ...?
CVS: ...it says you paid cash last time.
Peggy: Uh, I paid $47. With a credit card.
CVS: Well, your company doesn't cover this.
Peggy: Not even the generic?
CVS: No. They want you to try Claratin over-the-counter.
Peggy: They. Want me. To try Claratin.
CVS: Yeah!
Peggy: GIVE ME THE DRUGS.
CVS: ...?
Peggy: AND THAT CHEAP EASTER CHOCOLATE.

NPR: Healthcare in America is becoming increasingly unaffordable for members of the middle- and lower-class...
Peggy: OH RLY NPR I HADN'T NOTICED.

Anyway. That put me into the Worst Mood Ever, since I was thisclose to breaking even on my budget for this month (but I am dubious of my ability to earn $250 in the next four days, plus whatever it costs to fill up my tank to drive to Earlham for Hippie Dancing, especially since I'm not working Friday OR Saturday night (although maybe I can pick up Saturday night? And I do seem to be closing lunch on Sunday as part of my double...)). It also doesn't help that that CVS is consistently unhelpful and has charged me something different for that drug each of the three times I have so far bought it. WTF. And keeps claiming I don't even have insurance, when clearly I do (although how much it's helping is very debatable). The worst part is that after I hit my deductible my BC will be only $30/month instead of $40, but I could be getting it at Planned Parenthood for just $25/month ANYWAY because I am POOR and I could just donate the extra $5 to them for NOT BEING WORTHLESS JERKS LIKE CVS OR UNICARE.

BUT I mailed out two more job applications, so maybe someone will give me a job that either a)has health insurance that actually covers my drugs (shock!) or b)pays me enough that I can afford $90/month to keep from sneezing my brains out into a messy, icky puddle of... uh, brains.

I also bought a box of Target-brand Claratin, because I found it on a clearance rack (God: Here, maybe this will help? Peggy: ...thanks?) for half-price. But I am not confient. That Target has a pharmacy, too, though, and I'm seriously considering moving my Rx accounts over there PURELY OUT OF SPITE. And, since my insurance company isn't covering anything ANYWAY, it hardly matters that it's out of network, right??

I just don't like paying so much monthly for insurance and then having to pretend like I just don't have any, because it doesn't actually do ANYTHING it's supposed to. rI'm thinking about enrolling in the Mitchell's health insurance plan, even though it's more expensive (a lot more, actually--but if it covers my drugs, I will save much more in the long run...).

Anyway. I need to go to work now, and try to make some moneys to pay for my expensive drug habit, yo. My expensive FENALFEXADRINE HCL HABIT.

[kills everything]

Well, at least I had fun seeing Ian's band at Birdy's. (I'm pretty sure they're called "I did, but now I don't," and their last song was my favorite (NO, not because it was the last one): it was called "on the lam," and I kept thinking "on the lamb" and saying "MINT JELLY!" over and over again. Cameron is SO NICE to put up with me.) I also had fun leaving Andrew the following voicemail:

"HEY. Way to not call me back about dinner. [long pause] IT WAS DELICIOUS."

Cameron said it was funny, but it wasn't as funny as seeing him and Ian with sort-of-matching facial hair, and Ian promising that he would keep it for his mom's last opera (Turandot) in two weeks, and--this is the best part--that if I would bring a top hat, he would wear it. He also volunteered to wear a tux. NOW ALL I NEED IS A MONACLE FOR HIM AND IT WILL BE THE BEST THING EVER. Ooh, and a cape. Like Dmitri wears in Anastasia! Too bad I only have one top had (and no capes or monacles), because Cameron and Ian matching in that outfit? Would totally slay me.

THE AIND.
