Hey. I don't want to sound like a total nOOb considering tons of people are going to see this and such but I was wondering where I could possibly find some music by Nightmare or Sendai Kamotsu. I thought I'd ask you since you are also in the Nightmare Yaoi community.
I feel like such a dork... I can't find any of there music on limewire and such, so if you can help me out that'd be great. I'm always trying to expand my j-rock music tastes. Got any suggestions?? Oh and BTW I LOVE your layout! So cool!! *envious* ^_^
hehe ^_^ sure, a great place to find Nightmare stuff is nightmare_media they have tons of video's and music. and if your new to Nightmare a great place to start would be downloading their best of album which came out about 2 months ago. It gives you a feel for what different styles of music they do.
Sendai Kamotsu is slightly harder to come accross but you can get almost everything from slsk, I find limewire hopeless when trying to find J-Rock.
*blushes* thanks I'm glad you like my layout I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to photoshop and making layouts (only had the program 2 or so months) ^_^
Heh heh heh.... I made you blush! You don't come off as a nOOb at all!! I have no skills at photoshop at all and I have the CE2 version or what not on my computer. I'm too lazy to learn how. Video editing is more my thing, I'm not really into picture editing.
Thanks for the linkage. I'll totally have to download some of nightmare's tracks... once I'm authorized to join (lj comm= nightmare_media> that is!
Do you know of any other good jrock bands. I have very little knowledge. I only know of a few.
^_^ I have Photoshop 8-CS and I love it so much, but It is so difficult to use, I was into video editing for a while, I started to do a 2 year course and in the end I decided It's not what I wanted to do so I dropped out at about 14 months and decided to do double Multimedia which I love.
Other good J-Rock bands. Pierrot. Gazette. An Cafe. (also known as Antic or Antique Cafe) Malice Mizer. my first favourite J-Rock band Moi dix Mois. Kagrra. PENICILLIN. probably one of the most under-rated J-Rock bands ever, it's very hard to find huge fans of this band but I think they are brillinat. I good comm for them is union_japs
and Dir en grey obviously, but I try to show people that there are more good J-Rock bands then just Dir en grey.
Alright cool. I'll defiently check these bands out.
I'm not a big fan of dir en grey myself. I just don't like their feel. But I do know a good indie band. I'm not sure what category they're in but UVERworld is really good.
Thanks again for the list of bands to check out. It's so hard to know which bands are good to check out and all. Also...going to sound like a total nOOb again but I've seen a lot of stuff about Hide but...who is he? *prepares to get hit*
hide was and still is one of the biggest Rockstars Japan ever had, he was in the band X-Japan which are pretty much the band who started Visual Kei in Japan they were around in the late 80's (they were just called X then) till late 90's when they broke up, hide was the guitarist, he also had a solo career, then hide died in 1998 which destroyed fans and left a huge dent in the Japanese music world. you may have heard of Yoshiki? he was the bands leader/Drummer/Pianist he also produced one of Dir en grey's albums.
sorry for confsing you writing slsk, its short for soulseek it's a Downloading agent,(like limewire) but it lets you go into certain rooms and do searches, you can pretty much get everything there.
don't worry about feeling like a J-Rock n00b, everyone must have been a J-Rock n00b at some point.
