So I stopped over at one of the studios in town today to do start doing some basic track recording. One might ask why I would spend 200 dollars for 4 hours of studio time when I could just do it for free at my dads studio. Well change of scenery. Besides my dad had it booked today. Anyway I was just doing some basic stuff. More or less fooling around, record some stuff for me not anything to extensive. Anyway my studio time wound up being free because while I was there there was another guy that had requested the studio guitarist to work on his recording but the guy didnt show up so the owner(pretty good friend of mine) came in said he'd give me the studio time for free if I'd go in and lay down some leads over this guys recording for him. So I did that and wound up getting a job at the studio. I'm now a studio musician. If people need guitar work, piano, drums whatever done I get to do it. Not bad pay either, plus all the studio time I want. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. Anyway the band will be hitting the studio sometime soon as well. We've finalised what we wanna record, now we just gotta do it.
