Weekend Madness 2

It's been a while no? Blame Plurk for taking away my LJ time XD. But actually, I don't have that much to blog these days. Well, there are some few things that can be said, but I seldom have the drive to type it all here. And since I'm already here, it's a good time to actually post some of those right now.
Sometime in September, Antarctica exile period came again, and this means every Saturday the penguins meet up in Megamall if time allows it.
Come October, and it's a month filled with events. Just a week before, Anicon was held and yesterday, Cosmania event. It's been a while since I went into a convention. Lots of people yesterday, which made us resort to limited movement inside the venue. T'was fun in any case. Allow me to elaborate on that later so we could go over it in detail.
Friday Night Food Trip
Marc arrived last week from Singapore to take a vacation. With that said, he invited us over to eat Friday night at Wanchai. I missed this restaurant since it was more than a year since I've eaten there. Quality dimsum is the keyword, and as a cheese lover, I fell in love with Seafood and Cheese long ago. There were 13 of us in there, but the number didn't affect the taste of the food XD.
Afterwards, people separated ways while some of us went to Marc's house for the night. A little bit of MBAC matches and talk, then we went to sleep. I think it was already past 4AM by that time. That spelt trouble.
The next morning, people already got up at around 11AM. We still had to cook Takoyaki to bring to the party. Homemade takoyaki was delicious, and I'm looking forward to the next session when Marc comes home again XD. And oh, I really need to buy myself some Japanese mayonnaise. After everything, we went straight to Crisanta Towers for the PPF Party.
PPF Party
We arrived at around 3PM and there are quite a number of people already there. Met with old and new friends. The MBAC tourney was also going to be held. As the defending champion, I did my best, and got eliminated on the first round by Marc XDD. It's hard to beat an unorthodox MBAC fighter after all. That, and I lack practice. There were also a lot of new players, and this was very good for our small community. I should get my gears going for the next one, so I can take back the title XD.
Eric and Tim also treated us to their birthday celebration with buckets of KFC. After dinner, we watched the PPF Outing 2008 video and it was the source of further laughter. Still, the day was short and we still needed to go home for tomorrow's event.
Erving helped me bring home the DTX for storage until next party. The trip home became a semi-roadtrip with Tonet and Jac (I am not THAT far really! :p), and thus my house has been marked XD. Afterwards, I bid them goodbye and I went to sleep a little bit later myself.
CosMania 2008
I brought my sister along for this event. We left home at around 1PM, and what we saw were, people, and lots of them.
Apparently, one megatrade hall is definitely not big enough to host a cosplay event. We were basically stuck on a few key locations (make that 1). It was fun nonetheless. The event could have used more booths (as they will definitely make customers due to the sheer number of people in the event), but I guess that's a note for the next one.
We were there until the end of the event. And to summarize it, even if it was tiring, it was a great day (not too short nor too long).
We went straight to bed when we came home.
So here I am again in the office. Until next time!
