(no subject)
So the slayer show was the other night.
Thine eyes bleed opened. They were actually pretty cool and got the crowd moving. It's tom araya (from slayer) 's brothers band which is pretty awesome. They played for like a half hour and were really energetic. I've downloaded some of their stuff but had never listened to it that much before then. But now, i think they are great. Nick, if you are reading this, if you haven't heard of them i think you should check them out because they rock and i could see you liking them.
Next came children of bodom. I'm truly not a big fan of them. They attract a really really strange crowd and I don't know what to think of that. It was very young. They sounded good, and were semi exciting. I'm not thinking much right now so i don't have anything else to say really about them.
Mastodon was next. I wish they would have gone before children of bodom. The pit cleared out and i dunno they seemed different then i remember them. It wasn't as hardcorish as i remember them i guess. Sounded ok, but i don't particularly like their music too much. I was kinda bored throughout their set.
Lamb of god. OMG. AMAZING. I've seen them so many times and they rock. They played a good variety of their stuff. The pit was wild. Sounded great. Had lots of energy and played a new song off the new cd. It's got a pantera kinda sound to it, but it still sounds like lamb of god and that was awesome.
And then slayer. Frenchy and I went to sit because the pit was gonna go nuts. The opened with South of Heaven and they were goin old school. They only played one song off the new cd, one song off of god hates us all (which was disciple) and the rest was off of either seasons in the abyss, south of heaven, or hell awaits. AMAZING. ALL the good stuff. Oh and they played Raining blood & Angel of Death off of Reign In Blood. They played 14 songs and no encore. Kinda a short set but still rocked. Also, they kept pausing in between songs which isn't really like them. I think touring might be getting to them especially since tom just had surgery. It was Well worth it thought. I can't wait till they come back. I'm such a slayer whore. I mean i've seen them 7 times and its gonna be way more guarenteed.
All in all, it was an AWESOME show and well worth it. We had a blast.

Frenchy and I are leaving for vacation to disneyworld & the carribean tomorrow at 6 am. I AM STOKED! I'll post lots of pics when i get back!
