I took the boot off yesterday for the whole day to see how it would do. It was very nice to be able to walk full speed again! Neither the ankle or foot swelled up at all, which was very nice - however, I'm still having a good deal of pain (which is weird since I didn't start having pain until after I went to the doctor... ). I plan to keep it off again today since it's still not swollen. This does mean that I have to wear long pants to work again, but that is so much easier to deal with than the boot.
In other news: Yesterday afternoon at work Jeannie (Accounting lady - very nice) and Dawn (an Marketing Rep who just so happens to be married to my boss - also very nice) were planning on going to get a drink and dinner just the two of them. Heather (the "new" girl that basically does the same thing as I do but dedicated to only one MR - a bit odd, but nice) decided to invite herself along but said she couldn't go OUT to drink since she underage (she drinks all the time and no one seems to have a "problem" with this... it's VERY strange). So, Heather suggested the 3 of them go to Dawn's house and grill out. Matt and I happened to be sitting right there at the time so we were invited as well. Matt didn't want to go since he was so tired from work and just wanted to relax but he said I could go, and I did. I got there around 6:30 I think and Dawn was the only one there - Jeannie and Heather had gone to the "store" to get drink ingredients, and the drinking started as soon as they got back! Anyway, they have a nice house with a pool, two dogs and two cats. We had some chips and dip (just sour cream and one of those Fiesta Ranch dry powder packets that Hidden Valley makes) to start out with, then chicken and riblets on the grill, a green salad with grape halves and feta cheese (Dawn had made a raspberry vinagrette that looked good but I didn't try it), creamed corn, and dinner rolls. Everything was quite yummie! We had had a Multi-Line Rep come to work earlier and provide lunch (pizza - yumm) and Michael (my boss) had invited him over to look at the golf course at the country club and then he stayed for dinner. He provided some special insite on our newest MR Amy - she is apparently going behind our back trying to set up accounts with different companies independently... so highly not cool I don't even know where to begin. I'm pretty sure she's getting fired today. All in all, it was a nice evening - though a bit too much drink was had by Heather... and no one seemed to care... At least they didn't let her drive home, I don't think. I left first but still quite late (didn't realize how late it had gotten) and it seemed Heather and Jeannie were going to head off soon as well but who knows.
