Thought I'd sneak in and post a line or two.
Haven't heard from the city since the orientation and interview meeting. Nothing from the elderly and disabled people, either. Sigh.
Went to see Chelsea for 2 1/2 weeks, in San Diego. It was only supposed to be for 2 weeks, but I could only afford a 7 day advance bus ticket to go home (I thought I was gonna fly, but even the 14 day advance flights were too much. I kept forgetting to order the bus ticket, and it had to be 7 days in advance, so I ended up having to leave later than i thought.
It was a pretty quiet trip. Restful. I needed that. She left me at Ocean beach for a day. It was soooo peaceful and refreshing. No responsibilities, no deadlines. Just a whole day to wander the beach, in the ocean breeze, take videos of the ocean, go out on the pier, talk to homeless people, shop in the little shops, eat street vendor tamales... They were the best tamales I ever had. A buck each. Such an awesome day. Chelsea knew exactly where to go to find me. The Black Bead bead shop. It's my favorite place to visit when I go to Ocean Beach. I wish I could afford to have a little, tiny cliffside cottage, overlooking the ocean. I'd stay there forever, sitting on the beach, watching the waves, and looking at the sun set.
Kathryn's getting so big, and she's so smart. I can't believe she's in kindergarten already. Chelsea got me hooked on a bunch of network shows. I never usually watch the major networks, just cable. I do like Dancing With the Stars. "Life" is good. i like him cuz he's strange. He kinda wanders off in his mind and talks to himself, like I do sometimes. I'm beginning to wonder if Lost is ever even going to come back. I like "LA Ink" but Kat seems to be getting off track in her life. I like Cory and Hannah and Pixie.
