Sooo...

After spending last weekend literally in prison, cuz Naomi didn't dare go out, and I didn't dare leave her, and when we finally did get out to go to Circle K so she could get a fountain drink and being so scared she was visibly shaking all over; after Adia was crying uncontrollably, because she didn't want to leave her mommy to stay at her friend's house till this was over, being afraid of her mommy getting hurt...Tony never shows up, cuz "I would have needed new tires." He said in his phone message that he was actually on his way. What a creep. He has never quit calling, at least 5 or 6 times a day...sometimes as much as 15. Every single one of his messages says pretty much the same thing, only in slightly different words: "Hi Sue, this is Tony. Would PLEASE tell Naomi to call me? I really need to talk to her." Sometimes drunk, nearly always in a fake, sad, "poor me" tone of voice. The one time she did, in the beginning, all he did was yell at her, and call her a liar, and she didn't have any right to tell everybody "our" business. He refuses to acknowledge the fact that they aren't an item anymore. I don't think they were, after the first month, actually. A few of the messages were different, like the one about coming here. Yesterday, he said he would send Naomi an airplane ticket. Another one, he said he would send her money if she needed it. The second to last one said he had to talk to her, because she really needed to get her mail, today. Naomi's all freaked out about what it's gonna be. He sent her a card the other day, saying he can't wait till she comes "home". Hellooo. What planet is this guy living on? He blames me for Naomi not calling him. He says I hate him. He thinks I'm not giving her the message, or I'm trying to control her or something. How ignorant. She's a big girl. She's 34, she knows how to use a phone. She knows his number. Even if I didn't tell her, if she really wanted to talk to him, she would.

I got another housing application for "Community Wide" senior/disabled housing. I turned them both in yesterday. The lady told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks for the background check, then they'd make an appt. for an interview. I asked how long it might be after the interview. She said it depends on when vacancies become available. It may be a few months. A FEW MONTHS??!! After how many YEARS?! I can live with that.

Naomi found some Boston Brown Bread, the stuff in the can. I haven't seen that since I was a kid. I used to LOVE that stuff. I mean, I still do. I've eaten most of it. I think I'm gonna go get some now.
