Were you looking at Hooper's photos on Flickr of the places they've been at or something? I saw those, and for a split second I thought the same thing, but then I remembered all of the stuff that goes on between the port visits. Why would you do that? If you are bored where you are, get in your car/hop on a train/walk to the next state. Don't submit your will to the Navy because they will FORCE you to get off of your ass, do it yourself. A.K.A. this is stuff I've been running through my head. Maybe your reasons are different (less stupid). But I think if they are similar, that is a terrible reason to do it.
