there is no way i can fit everything into words
after flying for a really long time (13 hours)i landed in Auckland. there i went through customs and all of that crap and met IFSA butler. oh yeah i met some kids from IFSA before i left including Maria whom is pretty much my only close friend here. anywho, after we got all the butler kids (about 40) onto the bus we headed out to this big hill thing which had a big hole in the middle apparently there are several in the area. after that we headed to the lodge (outside of auckland) where we would be staying for 3 days. there we ate lots of yummy food and headed down to the georgous southern pacific ocean (first time in turquoise water!)after that people played rugby and cricket, and then we went to this water park place that was run off naturally warm water in a mountain and it had lots of warm tubs to sit it, then we went to a pub and i got coke on tap! :-P i know i've been here for 5 days and i still havent boughten anything to drink, just not a drinker. hehe anyways so they kept us really busy the first day so that we wouldnt sleep and get worse jet lag. most of us crashed after that in our bunks. the next few days consisted of sun, fun, water, and food. on one of the days we got to goto a traditional marai and get all the traditional cermemony type stuff it was really interesting.
the day we (6 butler kids) left for palmy was a tired one i had only gotten 2 hours of sleep that night and i was pretty sick. the airport set up is completely different there is no security or anything you just walk through the gate they take your ticket you walk out onto the actual airfield and walk up the little steps directly onto the plane. this plane was the one i took to Palmerston North where i am staying for the rest of the time. it was tiny two seats on one side and one on the other. but the flight was only 50 minutes. from there it was your basic checkin and then to orientation, which we were late to.
i'm done for now i'll tell you more about what my housing looks like and my roommates and stuff later.
