here's a couple new mixes i've made recently that i'm quite happy with, they have one song in common but play very differently.
first is 'slew' which is one i made for the car based of a handful of summer songs i couldn't stop listening to. some of it is a bit disparate but has the same mood in my mind. highlights include gypsy-funk-reggaeton fusion, french riot grrl style punk, french-iraqi rap, folk hijacked by cabaret leanings, and super giddy swedish punk.

and then, 'fern' which i made specially for a good friend who was visiting. it has less all out songs the the other mix and more folky moments, but feels more cohesive and fun. highlights include iranian electronica with traditional instrumentation, a sweet ballad to the person who slips in and out of your life and means so much to you, the 'queen of dancehall' lending her fame to a chilean rapper, a woman with a cello a loop pedal and a modern classical aesthetic, and three argentinian women who aside from being the most talented rappers i've ever heard have the most amazing sense of vocal melody and group songwriting
