Shopping therapy...and the quest of becoming prepared...

So, I did some shopping therapy today to try and get my mind off of things going on. Granted, I didn't actually go to stores, but buying stuff is still therapy...even if it isn't at a retail store. I found an ad on craigslist for a HUGE indoor baby and kids sale. I like to think I hit pay dirt:

I got 3 blankets - one teddy bear, one Winnie the Pooh, one baby Mickey/Minnie mouse, Bib - snowman with "Babies First Christmas", Dress Attire - 3/6mnths including pants, dress shirt, vest and tie, 3 piece outfit - jeans, jacket, long sleeve onesie in 3/6m, Windbreaker Colts outfit, jacket and pants 12m, but runs small, Reebok size 3 Colts shoes, Colts onesie 6/9m, GAP red hoodie 6/12m, and a black/beige carseat cover...all items either barely worn or brand new with tags for the bargain price of $24. They had tons more there that I wanted to buy, but sadly I'm not made of money. Needless to say, though, I'm proud of my purchases. The Colts attire alone, with shoes would have been well over $50. Heck, the shoes alone market for about $16, and that's IF you can find them in the Indianapolis Colts.
The dress attire I purchased for either Christmas or Easter, as I won't know which holiday the baby will fit into it for a while. I know its tricky buying special occasion attire this far in advance, but seriously...I only spent $5 for the entire set brand new with tags.
Do I feel better? A little...since now I have more for the baby...but I'm still freaking out. We need to buy diapers, bottles, a crib, mattress, bedding, and hopefully a Pack N Play. Jason's idea is that we can have a crib in the bedroom and a Pack N Play in the living room so that when I'm taking a much needed nap he can have the baby in the living room with him. Sure, this is a nice thought...but we're starting to get close to crunch time on getting stuff for the baby and I doubt we'll be able to get everything in time unless people are generous enough to get stuff off the registry. The crib we've registered for is on sale for $89.99 and the Pack N Play is $79.99. Those are two very large buys that I just don't see anyone buying. Our bottles are significantly cheaper and come in gift sets for like $20 something bucks, so I'm not too worried about those. *shrug*
