I met Jenna and Barbara Bush tonight. They were so nice. They spent time talking to everyone there. They didn't rush you, they had actual conversations. The 7 year old girl I babysit for in Naples has a school project with Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley is a character from a children's book. Elementary school kids make Flat Stanley and each kid sends them to family and friends that live in different places around the world. The people they send them to are supposed to write a diary of what he did on his trip and take pictures and then send it back to the kids. So, Anna decided to send Flat Stanley to me. I don't think Tallahassee is that interesting but whatever. Anywho, I took Flat Stanley to the Jenna and Barbara rally so I could get a picture of him with them. I asked Jenna and she got really excited about it. She took a picture with him and then started telling me about Gus the Teddy Bear. Apparently some little kid asked them to take Gus around with them and take pictures and send him back. They said they missed him so I asked her if she wanted to take Flat Stanley and she said yes. So I handed Flat Stanley off to the Bush twins. They are sending him back in a couple of weeks. I called Anna and told her Flat Stanley is traveling the country with the President's daughters and she told me how happy she was because now she would have the coolest Flat Stanley project in the class.
It was a really cool experience and can't wait to get the pictures back from them. I think it will be really cool if they have Flat Stanley on election day.
I know this is a stupid post and I sound like a loser but I was excited. Shit, I am still excited.
