But in all seriousness, I'm glad you're all right. As everyone told me when I had my accident right before Thanksgiving, cars can be replaced, but you cannot. :D
And this one ain't being replaced until it's good and dead, which isn't yet! I need monthly car payments like I need a hole in the head. A nice set of monster truck tires might be in order, however. . . .
How are you liking your Yaris? I know you've mentioned snow since you bought it, so hopefully it handles well in the slippery shizzle.
I love my Yaris. :) I haven't actually driven it in any weather yet (... I don't even think it's rained!) except snow flurries, but the salesguy assured my mom (who is an active worrier :D) that it would handle just fine in snow/ice, so there you go. Let's assume he wasn't lying! I've never really liked driving in nasty weather, so I do hope that's the case.
I've been pretty lucky re: driving in weather, actually. There was one really bad day last year when it started snowing pretty heavily a couple of hours before we got out of school. Our district cannot logistically handle early dismissal, so we just got the hell out of there earlier than normal (I get to leave at 3:30PM anyway, while the rest of the teachers have to stay until 4PM). The road was really bad on the drive home, so I just drove slow. Luckily I didn't hit a single red light the whole way home
( ... )
You have been lucky! Any car lurking there would have been smacked up if you would have done that (but being 11pm probably helped, too). :o
Every time we have any kind of weather, my car slips and slides and fishtails all over the place. It's scary when you're expecting the other cars to behave better than your own. >.> My initial estimate for repairs was around a thousand bucks, so I'm thinking I'll give the rest of the wintery season a chance to do its worst before I bother fixing anything, lest I ram into any other immovable forces during a snow storm. :-"

With brand new tires, too, you should be doing better than most. :D
