I don't know how I am always in the top 20 on those things. I suck at commenting. I guess it's due to the fact that my flist has been, well, my flist for years. I wanted to run that thing yesterday, but I can't find it for mac.
Congrats on the job! That's great. :)
I hope everything goes well with your brother. Paranoia of the sort you described could definitely be what your mum suspects. It could also be something much simpler, like residual anger concerning the accident or something. A psych evaluation never hurt anyone, imo. Either way, I hope he's all right. ♥
Tons of peeps on my flist have been there for years, but I feel that I always comment to the same handful of people because it's familiar. I wouldn't feel comfortable actually piping up on 75% of my flist's entries. :))
Thanks! :D
He's always been a quick-tempered bastard, but it's gone noticeably downhill since his accident. He does have some form of brain damage from it, so. I don't know if that can bring on schizophrenia, but. . . .
The house arrest was over months ago, but he still won't have his license until the end of the year. So unless one of his loser friends picks him up for an outing, he's generally around the house.
Interesting articles. :)) Irrationality is the name of his game. Once he gets started on a rant, it's a very long process to shut him up, to say nothing of calming him down. My mom likes to toss a duck on his lap and trap him on the sofa, then leave the room. :P
:)) Never heard of ducks being used as psychiatric treatments :)) Whatever works :D (What? Your ducks let you pet them??!! WOW! I WANT ONE TOO!! CUDDLY DUCKS!) Oh, and no wonder he's so worried about the ducks, he LOVES them, doesn't he?
Hey, whatever works, we'll use. :)) The ducks aren't very obedient with petting if they're free walking around, but if you sneak up on them and swoop down to capture them, you can either hold them standing up, sitting down, or bring them to the sofa/bed/furniture of choice. The area has to be very well covered up with towels first to avoid accidents, however. :P

Paranoia can also be a side effect of medication or recreational drugs.
Hmm. There's also the Paranoid personality disorder.
How are your parents coping? When is his house arrest over? Has he been "behaving", well, besides the tantrums, I mean.
